Kelly is, in typical style, scathing in her indictment of the U.S. and the state of Hawaiʻi—the colonial occupiers. But she is equally critical of the “first-world Hawaiians” who “are busy shoring up the infrastructure of the occupier” while rental-hike refugee Hawaiians are living on the streets and beaches....”
